A MONSTER WEEK OF NEW ARRIVALS WITHOUT THE SCARY PRICE TAG!

With Halloween hitting in less than a week I thought it high time to turn my thoughts to our fascination with all things ghoulish & why we all in some form or another like to celebrate this spooky tradition!
Our family don't really do Halloween. My kids for at least the last five years have shown no real interest. When they were tiny we’d trawl the neighbourhood for a candy haul, but now we barely decorate the house, does that make us the monsters??? I always have a few treats on stand-by in case we get some walking dead themed strays, but typically we go out for dinner and avoid the candy consuming ghosts & witches.
Don’t get me wrong here, I actually do appreciate all the effort other people put in decorating their homes & elaborate costumes. Some houses are more lit up these days on Halloween than Christmas, thrilling passers-by with their haunted abodes, only to take them down the next day...
I also love looking at all the celebrity Halloween parties in the USA on social media, like that of Heidi Klum who is a confessed Halloween addict. Every year Heidi throws an over the top soiree with a guest list that matches the Oscars, and god it looks like a blast. Heidi’s costumes are a complete transformation, be it an old lady, skinless human or even Michael Jackson from Thriller. Can’t wait to see what she comes up with this year! Maybe if I had an invite to this over the top annual bash it would change my motivation?
