Personally, the trick or treating days have passed for my brood, and we’re thinking a simple meal at the local Chinese whilst watching all the witches & goblins scurrying past will do just fine!
Halloween can be a polarising date on the calendar for some & one you either embrace or loathe. If you’re not one to feel the need to resurrect the dead & decorate your house it can be a shameful feeling to think that you just don’t get the point!! In these modern times Halloween just seems to be going from strength to strength, and I know here in Australia, the last 10 years have seen an incredible rise of people finding this festival one to participate in. Is it cultural peer pressure do you think? Or is it simply that people just love any excuse to dress up?? Or perhaps in this age of modern communications the chance to interact and socialise in your neighbourhood that can be a good and much needed experience. However you look at it I say, ‘Viva la dead’!
