RACHEL IN PARIS (I WISH!!) MY TOP 6 PICKS :)
Posted on
So better late than never but after much consideration I’ve put together my TOP 6 moments from Emily In Paris Season 4, Part 2.
For anyone out there who loves to zone-out watching this eminently bingeable show has probably finished this a week ago so I’m sure there’s no spoilers coming your way. BUT if you haven’t binged it yet…SPOILER ALERT!!
First up if France’s First lady Brigitte Macron has made a second cameo! We first saw her in Season one Episode 2 for a moment re-tweeting Emily. Apparently, she’s a big fan of the show - what an endorsement for Darren Star.
Next, I just loved Emily’s look flying home for Chrissy. She arrives at the airport in an extremely Emily-type travel outfit — over-the-knee boots, fleece-lined everything, giant sherpa coat that will be super bulky and annoying on the plane, but who cares!! Of course I loved the coat, it’s made by my fav designer Isabel Marant!!
Coming in third was all of Sylvie’s looks from the new series. Emily’s boss, Sylvie (played by the indomitable Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu), the real style star this year. Everything from her Saint Laurent bodysuits to her amazing array of designer dresses are a style inspiration.
Rome, Rome, Rome is next and I just love the way they’ve taken the American fish-out-of-water storyline in Paris, transplanted this with all the Audrey Hepburn Roman Holiday references you could ask for, and given the show a new spin with a new romance in a new fab city; they don’t call it romance for nothing.
Fifth must be the scenery! I love how the show really does explore the cities it’s set in, whether that be Paris or Rome. Definitely make me yearn for a summer Euro vacay!
Finally, I loved the finale. It may not be prestige TV, but Emily hovering over the Instagram handle edit button questioning whether to change her name from @EmilyInParis to @EmilyInRome is a cliffhanger we are eagerly waiting to see how it all plays out. (and it has been renewed for season 5!).
Now onto my TOP 6 new additions at aceyacey.com.au. Keep scrolling for a look at some amazing-preloved designer pieces that will have you looking every bit the style star you are!
Til next week
