What did you all think of Season 5 of The Crown? I’m only through the first episode and I have to say I”m not entirely sure about it yet, I think my issue with the new series starts with the casting of Charles…..
I’ve read several articles now in publications such as Vogue & The Daily Mail & they are all in consensus that Dominic West playing Charles doesn’t work.The reason is that he’s too good looking! I mean Elizabeth Debicki playing Diana is eerily spot on, but besides nailing Prince Charles’s posh vocals Dominic just isn’t convincing in the role to me visually. Maybe as the series progresses I’ll be brainwashed into thinking they look similar…..
One thing I really enjoyed in Ep. 1 is style icon Lady Di’s just fabulous holiday attire. It’s perfect timing for us to be inspired for our for our own end of year getaways when Di & Charles embark on a sham “second honeymoon” to Italy. If you haven’t watched it as yet it’s a must for that alone!! I’ll binge watch a few more tonight and let you know what I think as I progress through it!
