You all know by now I’m the proud Mum of two wonderful teenagers. Being a mother has been the best experience of my life & I love a day that takes the time to reflect on the ups and downs of motherhood. 

I know such a day can also be very hard on some. Having lost my own mother some almost four years back now, I find this also a time to reconnect with my siblings and share a few thoughts of growing up with her and marvelling at where we are now all those years later.

BTW who was following the Met Gala that happened Monday night NYC time. This year it honoured the incredible legacy of the late designer Karl Lagerfeld, so it’s no surprise that many of the night’s A-list attendees chose to pay homage to his work with their own ensembles. The best dressed of the bunch were those who found distinct ways to honour a signature Lagerfeld look—whether that be his collections’ recurring use of pearls, bows, and tweeds, or Karl’s own personal style itself through sleek ties, crisp shirts, and blazers.

I loved Nicole Kidman’s recycled pink Chanel couture gown that Lagerfeld designed for her back in 2004, when she starred in a Chanel No. 5 commercial directed by Baz Luhrmann—proof that recycling fashion can have a seriously chic end end result. I also adored Billie Eilish & Phoebe Bridgers stunning ensembles. Kate Moss and her daughter Lila also looked amazing, pic above :) Other looks below..
