MAGICAL MARFA + THIS WEEKS ARRIVALS!!

Tomorrow I’m travelling to a mysterious Texan town named Marfa, known not for its Texan BBQ but instead it’s art scene! It’s a small desert city in West Texas & is becoming more & more known across the globe as an arts hub. Movies such as Giant (1954) & No Country For Old Men (2007) have used this amazing place as their backdrop.
Only about 2,000 people call Marfa home & has achieved almost mythic status thanks to an influx of art institutions, stores, and New Yorkers and Angelenos who have settled here looking for something simpler. Snuggled in a vast expanse of desert, nearly 20 miles from the next town and some 200 from the nearest major airport. I’m looking forward to being one of the many people whom return awestruck from the tours of the Chinati Foundation, filled with wonder from the desert landscape and starry nights, and amped up on their great Instagram snap in front of Prada Marfa. ( I promise there will be one from me :))
Needless to say, Marfa has amassed a lot of hype & I’m dying to see it. I’m imagining ranchers, hipsters & tourists experiencing this dynamic place in harmony & can’t wait to send through some tips on the town when back!!
